when后面be动词的用法

When + be 动词+其他?

询问时间 ：When is your birthday? When is your mother’s birthday? Joe， when is the school trip?

when表示前面的叙述所没有提到过的信息。它总是对所描述的事件予以引人注目的强调，意为“这时突然”。

如：

1) He was still smiling when the door opened and his wife came in.

他正笑着的时候，门突然开了，他妻子走了进来。

2) I was thinking of this when I heard my name called.

我正想着这件事时，突然听到有人叫我的名字。

3) We were about to start when it began to rain.

我们刚要出发就开始下雨了。

when的用法句型

1.be doing sth…when…

例：He was still smiling when the door opened and his wife came in.

他正笑着的时候门突然开了，他妻子走了进来。

2.be about to do sth…when…

例：We were about to start when it began to rain.

我们刚要出发，天就开始下雨了。

3.had not done sth…when…/hardly…when…

例：He had not fallen asleep when the telephone rang.

他刚要入睡电话就响了。

4.had just done…when…

例：I had just gone to bed after a very hard day when the phone rang. 在劳累了一天之后我刚刚就寝，电话铃就响了。

when后面be动词的用法

看句子的主语和when引导的时间状语从句的时间状语。如果是一般现在时，be动词可能是am is are，如果是过去式可能是was， were，如果是一般现在时可能是has/have been。
